NSW 01’s characters fit together compactly and are all the same height, without ascenders or descenders to break the line.
Designed by Matt Willey, former art director at the New York Times, this compressed display typeface is not in the least bit shy. Thick strokes are outspoken and assertive, well suited to impart a forceful, modern feel to news headlines and posters.
In 2020 Matt became a partner at Pentagram in New York and donated a further 5 type families to BuyFontsSaveLives including NSW 01. An updated version 2.0 of the font was released in late 2020.
All BFSL typefaces sold will raise much needed funds for Cancer Research & MacMillan Cancer Support; your purchase could literally save lives. Thank you.
