Typespec has produced a suite of custom fonts for Morrisons via their creative agency Coley Porter Bell.
The new M Savers entry level branded products now feature colourful illustrations beneath a quick and quirky type style designed by CPB’s Craig Barnes and developed by Typespec. The instant popularity of these designs together with Morrisons’ focussed promotion of in-house ranges has helped turnover rise 7% in preliminary results to the end of Jan 2012, no mean feat in the current climate.
Two flowing brush scripts were also developed from Rachel Yallop’s commissioned lettering and will adorn fresh produce from Morrisons bakeries, fishmongers, butchers and delicatessens.
